ABLV Asset Management, IPAS Changes Custodian Bank for Its Pension Plan

Second pillar pension manager ABLV Asset Management, IPAS signed an agreement with ABLV Bank, AS about termination of the contract on custody services, and concluded a contract with Citadele banka, which will become the new custodian bank for the ABLV Active Investment Plan. In a few days, an appropriate order about transfer of all assets of the plan, including funds, to Citadele banka will be issued.

ABLV Bank, AS Paid Out Coupons Amounting to Approximately EUR 761 000

On February 22, 2018, ABLV Bank, AS redeemed straight coupon bonds ABLV FXD USD 220218 (ISIN LV0000801991) and ABLV FXD EUR 220218 (ISIN LV0000802007) issued in 2016. The bonds were redeemed at 100% of the face value, and at the same time last coupon payments under these bonds were made. At the moment of coupon payment, income tax was withheld by the bank in accordance with the Law on Enterprise Income Tax and the Law on Personal Income Tax.

On February 22, 2018, ABLV Bank, AS will perform planned redemption of straight coupon bonds ABLV FXD USD 220218 (ISIN LV0000801991) and ABLV FXD EUR 220218 (ISIN LV0000802007) issued in 2016. The bonds will be redeemed at 100% of the face value, and at the same time last coupon payments under these bonds will be made. At the moment of coupon payment, income tax will be withheld by the bank in accordance with the Law on Enterprise Income Tax and the Law on Personal Income Tax.

This year, December fell short of investors’ expectations for serious global “Christmas rally” and the key global stock markets closed the last month of the year mixed. The majority of European market indexes closed the month negative (for example, the Germany’s main stock index DAX fell by 0.8% and French CAC 40 – by 1.1%), while US market continued conquering new peaks (S&P 500 grew by almost 1% by the end of the month, while Dow Jones Industrial grew by 1.8%).
