The shareholders of Aizkraukles Banka held a general meeting on Friday, March 19, and declared that loans to private individuals are the bank’s primary area of operations. In 2004, the bank plans to more than double its loan portfolio to a total of Ls 141 million.

Aizkraukles Banka opens a new loan centre for private individuals

Aizkraukles Banka has opened a new loan centre for private individuals in the heart of the Old City of Riga — Ratslaukums — so that it can better service its clients. At the «Ratslaukums» loan centre, clients will have access to all of the Aizkraukle Banka services — receive information about mortgage loans, prepare the necessary documents, open and service accounts and make money transfers, including those that are meant to pay for Land Book services. The centre will also be open on Saturdays.

Aizkraukles Banka begins a long-term co-operation project with the Paediatric Clinical Hospital

The return on assets of the bank (ROA) has also increased up to 3.1%, being the one of the key factors for such a sharp rise in profits. The return on assets of Aizkraukles Banka (AB.LV) has always been one of the highest among Latvian commercial banks.
