Aizkraukles Banka continues supporting high-level education

Aizkraukles Banka (AB.LV) and Riga Graduate School of Law have entered into cooperation agreement on providing financial support to education programme Law and Finance in academic year 2009/2010.

This programme is the only one in Latvia and one of the few in Europe training high-level specialists that have equally good knowledge of both law and finance.

AB.LV started supporting the Law and Finance programme as early as from the moment of starting it in academic year 2008/2009. AB.LV support allowed the school to invite high-level academic staff in fields of financial investment, capital markets and legislation.

Within the cooperation project, it is planned to arrange course of free lectures by guest professors for students of the Law and Finance programme and other interested persons. Also, opportunities of acquiring additional knowledge of European law, currency policy, micro- and macroeconomics and other disciplines will be offered. Interested persons will be provided an opportunity to obtain profound knowledge of competition law, business law, capital turnover, portfolio analysis and other fields.

It is also planned to hold conferences on problematic legal and financial issues in current socioeconomic situation.
