Use Strong Passwords

When logging in to the Internetbank, authentication is performed to make sure you are authorized to access the Internetbank.

In the authentication procedure the following is used:

User ID — your user ID for logging in to the Internetbank. It consists of digits and is constant. You will find your user ID in the PIN envelope issued upon starting the cooperation.

Password — a combination of digits/letters/symbols, which should be known to you only. The initial password can be found in your PIN envelope. When logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to change the password. You can also change the password any time later.

Authorization code — a unique digital value generated by issued authorization tool.

Our recommendations

  • Use capital and small letters, as well as digits in the password. The password should consist of 8 to 30 characters.
  • Don’t use words that can be found in dictionaries, names of persons/pets or trademarks.
  • Don’t use names or other data that can be associated with you, for example, your car model, home or office address, date of birth of your relatives.
  • Don’t record your permanent password or user ID on the code card or elsewhere.
  • If your password, codes from the code card or Digipass PIN-code become known to other persons, change them immediately, check the User activity log and contact the bank.
